Most people will agree, we are living in very stressful times.
Depression and nervous system dysregulation in humans is becoming mainstream topics. Over my 40 years in veterinary medicine, I have observed a dramatic increase in anxiety disorders in our pets too!
To understand the underlying causes, we must acknowledge the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) that drives our (and our pets) survival drive. The Sympathetic Branch of the ANS is the fight/flight. It ramps up when there is danger, allowing us to quickly respond. The other branch is the Parasympathetic Branch which ramps up AFTER the threat is gone, and it allows us to rest, repair, digest, detoxify and reproduce. These 2 branches are on a teeter totter from each other, when one is “on”, the other is “off”.
Modern day environmental triggers include overwhelming exposure to EMF (Electromagnetic Frequencies), processed foods that are loaded with preservatives, hormones, toxins, genetically modified ingredients and glyphosate. On top of this there is the day to day stress of financial issues, families and work that all contribute to the physical and emotional “stress”. All of these triggers create a perpetual state of fight/flight also called high sympathetic tone.
The problem is the perceived “danger” never goes away, keeping us in high sympathetic tone and not allowing the parasympathetic side to kick in for the rest, repair, digest and detoxify.
This affects our pets because they “entrain” to our energy. Though they do not know what the “danger” is, they feel the stress, causing them to stay in high sympathetic tone too.
Holistic Solutions
Minimize the toxins in the food, water, body care, laundry and
EMF exposure. (Message me for recommendations on solutions)
Improve gut health, heal leaky gut.
Support the parasympathetic nervous system.
(For humans there are a plethora of things, from breathwork,
meditation, Fascia release, lymphatic therapy, proper exercise,
and frequency entrainment).
For the pets, I use sound frequency and vibration frequency to restore balance to the ANS and drive parasympathetic tone. Using specific frequencies and tones crafted to resonate with the natural frequencies of the bodies cells, these frequencies have a profound effect on reducing stress, promoting relaxation and a sense of wellbeing.
Research has indicated that music, especially when tuned to certain frequencies, can significantly reduce cortisol levels (a key stress hormone) and promote relaxation. For instance, a study published in the Journal of Veterinary Behavior demonstrated that classical music could reduce anxiety-related behaviors in shelter dogs. Similarly, other studies have shown that music therapy can lower heart rate and respiratory rate, indicative of reduced stress levels.
Wholetones builds on this scientific foundation by creating music at specific frequencies designed to align with natural bodily rhythms. This concept, known as entrainment, helps synchronize the listener’s biological systems with the therapeutic frequencies, enhancing the calming effect.
Seeing is believing!
