Ozone Therapy
Ozone is that fresh smell we enjoy after a thunderstorm.
Ozone is a natural product produced by nature in the stratosphere. Lightening strikes oxygen molecules (O2) dividing them into singlet oxygens (O). When they come back together, some become O3, an unstable and reactive molecule.
Ozone is also made in our bodies by the mitochondria as a by product of making energy (ATP). This ozone acts as a redox signalling molecule, helping to transmit information.
Ozone gas can be generated by a small machine using a reaction of electricity and oxygen. This ozone can then be used therapeutically in a multitude of safe and effective ways.
